The Ukrainian people's tragedy continues to intensify with the imperialist invasion of Russia on February 24th. This people has been in the epicentre of the conflict between the American and Russian imperialism for years. The USA on the one hand (with the EU keeping close) are trying to include Ukraine in NATO in order to corner Russia. Russia, on the other, understands that such a development brings her to a more disadvantageous position regarding their rivalry with USA. The invasion and bombardment by the Russian army on the pretext of the independence of Donbas are far from relevant with the peoples' right for independence and self-determination. It is a move subsequent to the constant pressure, caused by the Maidan coup and the intervention of the West, that supported and armed fascist and neo-nazi groups, in order to step into a country which is in a critical position concerning the encircling of Russia. It is the consequence of the policy of the USA, who, using the Zelensky puppet-government as an instrument, stepped over the red lines drawn, and transferred the crisis to the Ukrainian borders. This imperialist invasion by Russia brings closer the threat of an imperialist war.
The situation in Ukraine is the result of the imperialist rivalry and the failure of the workers and communist movements to become the obstacle to the policy of the imperialists. This conflict leads the people in Ukraine as well as others, to become the victim in an unjust and reactionary war. The crocodile tears shed by the imperialists of the USA, NATO, the EU and the capitalist classes supporting them have no connection with the anti-war movement. It is a provocation for the peoples of the world when those that have been bombing countries and massacring peoples appear as the defendants of peace.
What is needed today is that the peoples and the revolutionary communist forces become the obstacle to the imperialists' goals in the area. To fight so as to give rise to the anti-war and anti-imperialist movement. It is clear that there can be no peoples' movement, that will ultimately block the unjust wars and the bloodshed, if it does not adopt an anti-imperialist direction. The need to have the anti-war, anti-imperialist demonstrations grow in every country is imperative. These demonstrations, besides the condemnation of the unjust war, should have as a goal in each country, that there be no help in military or war equipment, that there be no support through bases or soldiers to the forces of the imperialists. We have to demand that there be no military involvement in the crime against the Ukrainian people.
This struggle is a struggle against the local capitalist classes who support the imperialist interventions, but also a struggle against imperialism. It is the internationalist, in-practice solidarity of the peoples everywhere on earth towards the suffering of the Ukrainian people.
Out with USA-NATO-Russia from Ukraine
We defend the friendship and solidarity of the Russian and Ukrainian peoples
Solidarity with the Ukrainian people
No facilitation for the imperialists, no support for the conduct of the unjust war
For the common struggle of all the peoples against war and imperialism
